Let Our Experienced Team Make
The Process Of Building As Smooth As Possible

  • Design a new or renovate an existing home, office or commercial building that suits your site, council requirements and meets all of your needs.
  • Remove your old building and clear your block if needed.
  • Secure building and local government approvals.
  • Work closely with you to ensure the project meets your budget, Clear communication throughout the entire building process.
  • Ensure that your custom build meets our high levels of workmanship.

Whether it is an idea in your mind, a concept design or a full set of working drawings, an integral part of any project is having a clear understanding of what you are about to embark upon and at what cost. An Integral part of our service, to all clients, is our preliminary consultation which is provided at no cost to you. This involves a site inspection by Jeff who will walk through and discuss what it is you are trying to achieve as well as the expectations, finishes and timing. Jeff will offer any helpful advice along the way, from this information we would then prepare a realistic preliminary budget from a builder’s perspective and offer any suggestions of possible cost savings without compromising quality so you can then start to finalise your scope.

Architectural Design and Drafting

Over the years, we have formed many close working relationships with a variety of different architects with whom we would recommend based on the style and needs of the client, we are also happy to work with any new designers already selected.

Engineering Design

As is the case with architects, we have worked with many engineers over the years and are happy to either recommend or coordinate the engineering as part of our service.

Development and Building Approval

Depending on each individual project, there can often be multiple different approvals required such as development approvals, town planning and local council applications. We can liaise with a trusted team of professionals to guide you through the preliminary process of obtaining building approvals.

Project Management

The most important part of any project is the need for adequate planning and management. Our team has many years of experience in coordinating and managing both large and small scale projects with great success and credit our communication and dedicated administration systems to ensure that all projects are performing to the best of their ability.

Minor Renovations and Extensions

Our services are not restricted to large scale projects; Keysell Builders can assist with projects where a family just needs a little extra room or minor changes to improve the function or appearance of their home.

Major Renovations and Extensions

Our team combined with experience and passion for renovating is what sets Keysell Builders aside from most other builders. We specialise in transforming ordinary homes into the dream homes and visions of our clients, we pride ourselves on our traditional knowledge and ability to blend the new with the existing. When we commence a project, we work tirelessly to deliver the project in the shortest possible timeframe. Keysell Builders is equipped with exceptional project management and communication skills and will guide you through the whole experience with minimal stress.

Kitchen Renovations

We work closely with several premium quality cabinet makers who will listen to your needs and help create your dream kitchen. All the coordination of sub-trades and suppliers can be coordinated by us to eliminate any pressure of trying to chase up the necessary trades.

Bathroom Upgrades

Whether it is a face lift or a repair, we can help renovate or re-design your existing bathroom to service your needs.

Fencing and Feature Screens

The use of fencing and feature screens can be an essential element of dressing up a façade or area, or simply to provide some privacy. With many clever products available on the market, such as digitally imprinted aluminium that looks like real timber, you can also minimise the need for ongoing maintenance without compromising on style.

Carports, Decks and Patios

With our perfect climate in Brisbane there is no place better to entertain than outdoors. We can transform you’re tired or non – existent outdoor space into the perfect entertainment area or place to unwind. We only use premium quality timber suitable for our sometimes harsh conditions so that you know it will last. Our climate can also be unforgiving at times so having an additional carport space to accommodate and protect that extra vehicle, boat or caravan from the elements is often necessary.

Small Lot Homes

The revitalisation of inner areas, particularly in Brisbane, has brought with it a demand for new homes close to the city. Lots that become available are small and narrow and despite government encouragement for people to live close to the city, are usually bound with a great deal of red tape. However there are many benefits in building close to the action and not being at the mercy of heavy traffic and a long commute. Designing and building a small lot home that provides privacy, spaciousness and makes use of the best aspects and position can be challenging for most people, let alone wading through the bureaucracy. If you have purchased a small lot near the city and intend on building a new home or renovating an existing home. We can work with you to design and build a home that makes the most of the site and your lifestyle.

Personalise Style Design

Many clients blend elements from different styles of architecture, to add a personal touch to their home design. For clients who would like to incorporate more than one style of architecture, whether you would like to choose a traditional Hamptons style design or feature other elements of design, we can assist in the design process to ensure that the client's needs are reflected in the design. A traditional Hampton’s style home features a white palette or soft neutral tones on the interior and external walls which creates a sense of unity. Some people like to add a contrasting colour, such as a black kitchen island bench, complimented by shaker profile detailing to the cabinetry, to add a personal touch.

The piece de resistance of many Hampton style homes is the fireplace which features a timber mantle – which matches the styling of the light fittings. An increasing number of people are choosing to add a fireplace in their home design, to add to the warmth and feel of the home, by incorporating formal and informal spaces. Furnishings are also very important when it comes to home design, individual pieces can help bring the design together. These include window furnishings, shutters, sheer curtains or even a striking pendant light featured, over the island bench in the kitchen or in staircase voids.

Sloping Sites

By utilising the natural fall of the land on a sloping site we can help you design and build a split level home that enhances the views and makes the best use of aspects and the prevailing breezes. We can build you an individual designed home that is tailored to your site, not a level site home design which has been adapted to fit a sloping site. A home to make the best use of the site and to suit all of your needs.

Home Extensions and Renovations

Whether it is adding on a bedroom and bathroom, extending upwards to a two-storey home or lifting to build underneath, we can help you design and build an extension for your home that will give you the space you need. Making improvements to your home, not only will it increase its value, it will give you the space you need to live more comfortably and suit your lifestyle.

Knockdown Rebuild

Looking to change, update or extend your home?  Renovating is NOT the only option.  Demolishing and rebuilding provides flexibility in design, improved use of land and maximises long term value - often with a marginal cost difference.  If you love your location but not your home, rebuilding is a very real, affordable option. Renovating might be a popular way to change your home without losing your location, however what you might not know is that it can cost up to 20% more to keep parts of your home and try to renovate around them....Especially if your home has asbestos or other features that are no longer compliant. Renovating can also limit your flexibility to adopt improvements and to adapt your floor plan. A Knockdown Rebuild, can literally save tens of thousands of dollars. We project-manage from the start of the project and until our clients move in.

  • We knock down and remove your old home - Nothing for the clients to organise.
  • All council approvals are organised for you.
  • No asbestos needs to worry about.
  • The efficiency of your homes energy uses are improved, as well as water usage and maintenance needs.
  • You can get exactly the home you would like - Clients design choices are not limited by an existing structure.
  • It can cost 20% less than a complete renovation.
  • It can be much easier to get finance.
  • It’s 100% project managed from the beginning, until the client's move in date.
